We made it to the first week of November, less than 60 days before we all jump into 2026.
This time of year is powerful.
It’s a moment to pause and look back:
Did I achieve what I set out to do this year?
Did I get closer to my goals, physically, mentally, emotionally?
Or have I been waiting for the “right time” to start again?
You know how it goes, every November and December, we start talking about resolutions.
But something I always preach is this:
Why wait until January 1st to make things happen?
Every day you delay is another day you could have been building momentum.
But what does this really mean?
I know how easy it is to feel overwhelmed. Our head plays games on us. We overthink, we doubt, we self-sabotage, and at the end of the day, no wonder we fall off track.
Last week, I recommended a book called The Mountain Is You by Brianna Wiest.
This morning, I was reading the last chapter, it talks about the inner child, and it hit me hard. It says: if we don’t do the inner work of healing that wounded inner child, that same child will keep running the show.
And that’s exactly what happens to most of us.
Our fears, reactions, and limiting beliefs often come from that younger version of us who didn’t feel safe, accepted, or enough.
So here’s what I took from it:
Our inner child doesn’t need to disappear, they just need to feel safe and protected. The mental programming we got from our parents or environment doesn’t have to define who we are now.
Would you let a 7-year-old run your life?
Of course not.
But that’s what happens when we don’t address our inner wounds.
We might look like adults, but we still react, fear, and avoid things the way our younger self did.
We’re not meant to be perfect, we’re meant to evolve.
And that’s the real purpose of life.
Chasing happiness through money, relationships, or material things won’t fix what’s unhealed.
Real happiness comes from growth, from understanding yourself deeply, breaking old patterns, and choosing to become your best version.
If you see patterns repeating in your family or in your own habits,
remember: it’s not destiny, it’s a decision.
The Healing Process Starts With a Decision
We can’t control our past, but we can decide what to do with it.
The moment you decide to start healing, you start taking back control. It doesn’t happen overnight. But the moment you say enough, and choose to show up for yourself, that’s when evolution begins.
Don’t wait until January 1st to start.
Start this week, and you’ll already be ahead of most people waiting for “someday.” Because growth doesn’t start on the calendar, it starts with a decision. And YOU are the one in control.
Warmly,
Coach Julio
